Airport Trieste transfers

Getting from Trieste Airport to the centre

There are several options you can choose from when travelling from the airport to the centre. The cheapest option is to take the public bus nr. 51 which will take you to Trieste bus station and the railway station as well. Other than this, there are buses which will take you from the airport to the towns of Udine, Gorizia, Monfalcone and Grado. The airport does not have its own shuttle transport like many other airports do. In front of the airport building you will find a taxi rank. The last option is to book your private transfer prior to your arrival; a driver will then wait for you at the arrivals area and take you directly to your destination. These are the advantages of a private transfer:

⇒  Door to door service (no long walks with heavy suitcases)
⇒  In most cases cheaper than taxi
⇒  No waiting at the airport, the driver is there when you arrive, even if your plane is delayed.
⇒  Vehicles available for larger groups as well (you always travel together)

Getting to other destinations in Italy from Trieste Airport

As mentioned above, there are public buses which run from the airport to Udine, Gorizia, Monfalcone and Grado. To reach other destinations in Italy by bus you will have to take a bus or a private transfer to Trieste bus station where you will catch another bus, if there is one, to reach your destination.
